Staff Accountant at The Crash Team - The Galvan Law Firm – Sugar Land, Texas

We are a rapidly growing personal injury law firm in Sugar Land, Texas, seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, including trust accounting and settlement disbursements. This role plays a vital part in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with trust accounting requirements, and supporting the daily operations that keep our practice running smoothly as we continue to expand.

$65,000-$80,000 annually, depending on experience

• Manage and reconcile IOLTA trust accounts in compliance with Texas State Bar rules
• Prepare and process settlement disbursements
• Perform three-way trust reconciliations
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Maintain general ledger and post journal entries
• Reconcile operating bank accounts and credit cards
• Track case costs, medical liens, and contingency fees
• Assist with monthly financial reporting
• Coordinate with CPA for tax and year-end reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Minimum 4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Law firm or legal accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of trust accounting / IOLTA compliance
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information
