Staff Accountant at The Crash Team - The Galvan Law Firm – Sugar Land, Texas

We are a rapidly growing personal injury law firm in Sugar Land, Texas, seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, including trust accounting and settlement disbursements. This role plays a vital part in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with trust accounting requirements, and supporting the daily operations that keep our practice running smoothly as we continue to expand.
Compensation:$65,000-$80,000 annually, depending on experience
Responsibilities:- Manage and reconcile IOLTA trust accounts in compliance with Texas State Bar rules
- Prepare and process settlement disbursements
- Perform three-way trust reconciliations
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain general ledger and post journal entries
- Reconcile operating bank accounts and credit cards
- Track case costs, medical liens, and contingency fees
- Assist with monthly financial reporting
- Coordinate with CPA for tax and year-end reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- Minimum 4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Law firm or legal accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of trust accounting / IOLTA compliance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information
