Sherman's: Proudly Not Normal Since '76 (and Counting!)
Forget everything you think you know about retail. Back in '76, while the world was doing its thing, Sharon Sherman was busy building something different – a side hustle selling clocks and gifts with a whole lot of heart. Fast forward half a century, and Sherman's has blossomed into four locations packed with home appliances, furniture, and mattresses.
Sure, we've grown beyond microwaves, but our family values? Rock solid. Show Concern. Have Fun. Be Helpful. Demonstrate Integrity. Show Ambition. Develop Relationships. These aren't just words on a wall; they're the fuel that keeps us going.
Why are we here? Because we're genuinely passionate about our community. We're the neighbors who help you turn houses into homes. And it all started because Sharon dared to be different.
Now, about you.
Maybe you've always been the one people call when something isn't working.
You like figuring things out.
You're hands-on.
You don't panic when something comes apart — you're curious about how it goes back together.
You may not have appliance repair experience yet — and that's okay.
What matters most to us? Attitude and Aptitude.
  1. You're friendly
  2. You treat people with respect
  3. You're dependable
  4. You're mechanically inclined
  5. You like solving problems
So, What Does "Not Normal" Look Like Day-to-Day?
  • No On-Call. No Crazy Rotating Schedules. You'll work Monday–Friday. 7:30am – until route is done.
  • We Train You. You'll start by riding along with experienced technicians. You'll learn how to diagnose issues, talk with customers, and confidently complete repairs.
  • You'll Be in People's Homes. When someone's washer stops mid-cycle or their fridge isn't cooling, they're stressed. You'll be the calm, capable person who shows up, explains what's happening, and helps fix the problem.
  • You're the Face of the Company. You'll walk into homes representing a company that's been part of the community for decades. You'll leave people feeling taken care of.
  • You're Independent — But Not Alone. You'll have your own route, your own van, your own responsibility. But you'll also have a team that backs you up, shares knowledge, and wants you to succeed.
  • You Keep Growing. Appliance technology changes. We invest in training so you stay sharp and confident.
Ready to Grow Your Career in a Skilled Trade and Be Part of Something Different?
