Sterile Processing Supervisor - Full-Time, Days

Work hours: Full-Time, Days (Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
Education
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required and
• Other Some College Preferred
Experience
• 2 Years of Sterile Processing Experience Required
• 3 Years of Sterile Processing Experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
• CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician Upon Hire Required Or
• CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician Upon Hire Required Or
• CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution Upon Hire Required
Skills and Abilities
• Positive interpersonal skills, ability to function in a fast paced environment, proactive problem solving skills. Organizational skills to direct and manage people and strong computer skills.
What You Will Do
• Manage daily operations by facilitating department call assignment schedules to ensure proper coverage as well as maintaining vacation requests.
• Oversee workflow for the best needs of the department.
• Assist with employee evaluations.
• Coordinates daily workflow to ensure that instrument sets and equipment are available when needed.
• Coordinates staff schedule to assure adequate staffing.
• Performs other checks as necessary to assure that recommended standards are being followed in the processing/sterilization of instruments.
• Ensure the rotation of instrument trays for sharpening, as well as equipment repairs for CSP, Surgery Endoscopy.
• Assist manager in monitoring department productivity.
Update and sustain departmental payroll.
• Processing of all invoices for sharpening, repairs and specific implants.
• Ordering of any instrumentation needed.
• Audits the trays of Technicians to ensure that they are done correctly and contain clean properly working instruments and ensures that equipment is delivered properly in a timely manner.
• Audits the sterilization process and the monitoring of this process.
• Performs tasks in a cost effective manner.
• Monitors the productivity of Technicians.
• CQI and PI Data Collection for sterilization in CSP and Surgery.
• Maintain organization of instrument sets to meet changing needs of specialty services.
• Work closely with service line coordinators and surgeons for any changes or issues that may arise pertaining to Central Sterile Processing.
• Evaluates performance of employees.
• Coaches or counsels employees as required and also provides recognition to deserving employees
