Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Operations at GAGE BILT Inc – Clinton Twp., Michigan

Gage Bilt, Inc is an OEM CNC manufacturing facility serving all major industries with 70 years in business. We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to develop, improve, and optimize CNC Lathe and Mill production processes. This is a hands-on, technical role where you’ll collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to reduce cycle times, improve efficiency, and support new product launches. What You’ll Do

• Program and optimize CNC machines (G-code, CAM) for new and existing parts
• Troubleshoot production issues and refine setups to ensure quality and uptime
• Select and design tooling/fixtures to meet part and material requirements
• Analyze and improve machining processes to reduce tool wear and maximize utilization
• Perform advanced in-process inspections and support root cause analysis
• Create setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation; train machinists as needed
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and smooth product launches

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years in manufacturing or process engineering (aerospace, precision machining, or CNC preferred)
• Proficiency in CNC programming and CAM software
• Strong knowledge of prints, tooling selection, cutting parameters, and machining processes
• Experience with lean manufacturing or other process improvement methods
• Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to train and support production teams
