About This Position
IMS is in need of a strategic minded IT professional who can develop long range plan to support rapid business expansion, while managing day-to-day support activities for the growing organization. This is an individual contributor role, with primary responsibility for managing outside vendors and service providers.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic planning: Develop a 3-5 year IT plan to support business that is doubling each year, with multiple lines of business located at multiple sites. Develop road map for strategic IT implementation and roll-out IT policies and best practices to align technology with the organization's goals. Evaluate and recommend best practices for securely storage and managing of information; on-prem, cloud, etc.
- Implementation Support: Lead and manage IT projects from planning through implementation, including system updates, upgrades, and new software implementation. Excellent understanding of ERP such as SAP, NetSuite, etc., Infor/Syteline would be ideal. Evaluate existing system architecture and recommend changes/upgrades to deliver best practices performance.
- Budget Management: Develop and Manage the IT budget and allocated resources based on operational and security needs. Ensure that allocations consider the ongoing maintenance and strategic initiatives. Prepare and administer the IT budget, which includes managing costs for support contracts, employee equipment, hardware, software, and other IT-related expenses.
- IT Operations / Support: Daily maintenance of IT systems as it relates and coordinates with existing MSPs. Provide review and oversight of policies and training and regular audits to ensure accuracy. Managing external IT vendors. Manage vendor selection, negotiation, and performance for all IT services and software. Evaluate SLAs, ensure cost-effectiveness, and drive accountability through quarterly reviews. Change Management & Communication - Lead change control processes, ensuring all system modifications are approved, tested, documented, and communicated to stakeholders.
- User and stakeholder support: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support and liaise with other departments to ensure their technological needs are met. Work with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) to review and enforce IT policies set in place according to federal security regulations.
- Security and compliance: Run regular checks on network and data security and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Work with external IT vendors. Oversee lifecycle management of all hardware, software, licenses and IT assets.
- Governance & Risk Management: Establish and maintain an IT governance framework that aligns with company policies, SOX, ITAR, CMMC or other regulatory requirements. Maintain an IT risk register, conduct annual control reviews, and coordinate with internal/external auditors.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in technical support
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in Data Analysis and Reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
