The Operations Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the entire operations team while driving operational excellence across all projects. This position provides full accountability for project execution, team performance, profitability, resource management, and operational strategy.
The Operations Director ensures that all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with Trinitys financial and strategic objectives. This leader will build, develop, and manage a high-performing operations team while continuously improving systems, processes, SOPs, and KPIs to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership & Team Management
Lead, manage, and develop the entire Operations Department, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Abatement Supervisors and support personnel.
Continue the Safety Culture of Safety is No Accident approach on all projects from the top down.
Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability measures for all operations team members.
Coach, mentor, and develop leaders within the department to strengthen bench depth and succession planning.
Maintain and improve a culture of ownership, urgency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and leadership development.
- Project Oversight & Execution
Provide executive oversight for all active projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Ensure projects are executed safely, in accordance with specifications, scope, contract requirements, schedule, and budget.
Define project objectives, success criteria, and quality standards.
Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and critical path milestones.
Proactively resolve operational challenges and implement contingency plans when necessary.
Conduct post-project reviews and implement lessons learned across the department.
- Financial & P&L Responsibility
Maintain full profit and loss accountability across all projects.
Oversee cost control, revenue tracking, forecasting, and cash flow management in collaboration with the Support Center.
Partner with Business Development during estimating to ensure operational feasibility and profitability.
Review and approve budgets, resource allocations, and financial projections.
Identify value engineering opportunities to improve margins and reduce costs.
- Contract & Change Management
Oversee contract execution and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Identify scope changes and manage the change order process, including documentation and submission.
Ensure timely billing, documentation, and financial reconciliation.
- Vendor & Resource Management
Develop and manage key vendor relationships, including landfills, recycling facilities, trucking, and disposal partners.
Negotiate pricing and service agreements to optimize project margins.
Coordinate personnel and equipment allocation across projects.
Assess staffing needs and lead recruitment efforts when required.
Oversee equipment utilization and coordinate preventative maintenance with the Superintendent and shop team.
- Strategic & Process Improvement
Continuously refine and improve operational systems, SOPs, and KPIs.
Implement scheduling tools and reporting systems to improve visibility and accountability.
Develop scalable processes to support company growth.
Support innovation and adoption of new technologies and operational best practices.
- Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary operational liaison between internal teams, senior leadership, clients, and external partners.
Provide consistent and accurate reporting on project and departmental performance.
Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and position Trinity for repeat business.
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred.
710+ years of commercial and/or federal demolition project management experience, including leadership of teams.
Proven experience managing full project lifecycle operations and departmental leadership.
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L management experience.
Experience leading teams in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera), scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
Strong understanding of cost coding and construction accounting principles.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive continuous improvement.

Primary operations based in Trinity Industrial Services main office (Atlanta, GA). Occasional travel to project sites as required for oversight and leadership.
