Position Title: Kitchen Equipment Quality Assurance Specialist
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Columbia, SC
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday operating hours occur between 7:00am to 5:00pm
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary: Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Kitchen Equipment Quality Assurance Specialist to support the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Columbia, SC. We are looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and clear communication. This position is contingent upon contract award.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform Quality Assurance Inspections related to food service equipment installation, maintenance, and testing.
- Within 24 hours of inspection, submit a daily Quality Assurance Report (QAR) in RMS to the project COR, with particular emphasis on deficiencies found.
- Monitor and evaluate the Preventative Maintenance (PM) contractor’s schedule and execution.
- Validate that PM services are performed in accordance with contract requirements.
- Conduct QA reviews of the PM contractor’s Quality Control (QC) plan.
- Verify that all required fire inspections are performed and compliant with applicable codes, standards, and criteria.
- Perform desk audits of ARMA and GFEBS data.
- Analyze DFAC equipment failure trends.
- Develop and submit weekly DFAC status reports covering DMO, PMO, and IDIQ efforts.

- Prepare approximately 50 formal reports per year documenting findings, contractor performance, and trend analysis.
- Provide draft technical input, including draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and cost estimates, in support of COR requirements.
- Participate in two weekly DFAC leadership meetings (60–90 minutes each).
- Attend, participate in advisory capacity in quality control coordination meetings, in progress reviews, and other conferences and meetings relating to food preparation equipment installation and testing with the contractors and COR.
- Review all the contractor’s daily quality control reports to assure that the quality control operations are adequately documented (including such activities as level of inspection, testing procedures and results, documentation, deficiency correction, etc.). Provide a daily Quality Assurance Report (QAR) for each site visit in RMS.
- Review ongoing construction work to verify that materials and workmanship conform to contract requirements.
- Attend quality assurance preparatory and initial inspections.
- Prepare written report identifying the tests and their results as they relate to compliance with the construction contract.
- Check compliance with health and safety requirements as established by the most current approved version of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirement Manual (EM 385-1-1).
- Provide advice and assistance in preparing Government estimates (including consideration of cost and time analysis—subnets) for use by the project COR. The estimates will be written with breakdowns of materials, labor, equipment, indirect elements and subnet for time---applied to NAS schedule and shall be submitted to the project COR prior to receipt of the construction contractor’s proposal.
- Prepare a technical, cost, and time analysis of each contractor’s proposal received from the contractor.
- Prepare final change order documents, (including justification of the change) and price negotiation memorandum, for signature in RMS. Update the modification register in RMS and keep current at all times.
- Provide assistance with construction schedule analysis and management for food service equipment installation and testing as required by the project COR.
- Provide assistance with construction claims for food service equipment installation and testing as required by the project COR.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Security Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain CAC clearance.
This position requires passing an extensive background check.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in commercial or institutional kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience leading and performing quality control or construction management services for facility renovation, sustainment, restoration, and modernization (SRM), or operations and maintenance programs.
- Expert in preventative maintenance scheduling, QA/QC oversight, and reliability improvement.
- Proficient in ARMA (Army Maintenance Application) and GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System).
- Familiarity with Army facility operations, construction management processes, and applicable standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of Army business systems, or the ability to become proficient with required Government systems.
- Familiarity with DFAC operations and all applicable standards and regulations.
- Valid Real-ID state-issued driver's license
- Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
- Excellent and accurate written communication
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
- Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
