This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of mortgage insurance claim processes that directly support homeowners and financial stakeholders. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and industry partners to prepare, validate, and submit claims while ensuring all supporting documentation and financial reconciliations are accurate. The position requires strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and the ability to manage multiple cases within strict deadlines. You will also contribute to tracking claim payments, maintaining system records, and identifying process gaps to improve operational efficiency. Working in a structured yet collaborative environment, you will help ensure timely and correct claim resolution while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
You will be responsible for managing mortgage insurance claim preparation and supporting end-to-end claim processing activities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
- Prepare and submit mortgage insurance claims for assigned properties, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate
- Reconcile all advances and financial components included in claim submissions
- Validate supporting documentation to ensure compliance with claim requirements
- Track and follow up on claim payments while maintaining accurate system records and updates
- Maintain clear production reports and documentation for internal visibility and management review
- Conduct research and resolve discrepancies related to claims processing
- Manage assigned work queues and accurately document all activities in internal systems
This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and foundational experience in mortgage servicing or related financial/claims environments, along with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance claims, or legal support roles
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues independently
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Preferred: knowledge of mortgage industry practices and claims processes
- Preferred: experience with mortgage servicing platforms such as LPS-MSP
