Precision CNC Machining Specialist (Lathe & Mill Programming)
Compensation: Starts at $27.00 + (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime: Saturdays, 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (approx. 56 hours/week)
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machining Specialist with programming experience to support the production of industrial-grade components and equipment. This role works closely with shop leadership and plays a key part in delivering high-precision machined parts in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties- Interpret machining blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
- Develop and edit G-code programs across various control systems (Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, Heidenhain – experience with all not required)
- Hold tight tolerances up to 0.0005" while maintaining consistent quality
- Inspect finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges
- Ensure parts meet required specifications and quality standards
- Follow all safety procedures in a heavy industrial setting
- Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a strong professional approach
- Handle materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs
- Support production needs, including scheduled overtime
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining and programming
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision work
- Familiarity with G-code programming principles
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
