Function/Duties of PositionUnder Dr. Hsu's supervision, the role of the research assistant will be to manage the operational aspects of the clinical studies. Roles include but are not limited to: imaging using the prototype dental OCT instrument. screening and recruiting research participants, ensuring that participant recruitment occurs in accordance to all applicable regulations, reviewing and modifying the Institutional Board Review (IRB) forms in collaboration with the investigators and trainee, verifying the safety of stored and exported data, etc. The research assistant will also be responsible on a day to day basis for ensuring all data is entered in an accurate and timely manner and that all paperwork is appropriately filled and filed. They will also be responsible for managing the enrollment database and keeping it up to date.
Under Dr. Lampi's supervision, the role of the research assistant will be to manage all IRB forms associated with the WINDOWS high school training grant, coordinate activities in Aim 1 of the grant that intersect with Admissions, develop recruitment tools such as media posts, and administer consent forms as well as survey questionnaires.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in any field OR Associate's AND
- 1 year of relevant experience OR
- 2 years of relevant experience OR
- Equivalent combination of training and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed a dental assisting program
- Clinical experience with patients
