We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Engineering to lead our Implementation Delivery team and drive successful, full-scale deployment of ComboCurve within our enterprise clients. This role requires a seasoned petroleum engineer with deep operator experience, strong end-to-end workflow understanding, and the ability to engage confidently with executive level stakeholders.
The Director of Engineering will serve as a bridge between Customer Success, Product, and client technical and operational teams, ensuring that client workflows are fully understood, mapped, and optimized for successful adoption of ComboCurve. This person will guide complex implementations, own integrated deployment strategies, and ensure our clients receive a seamless experience from onboarding to full adoption.
Responsibilities· Lead and grow the Implementation Delivery function, ensuring quality execution across all enterprise deployments.· Serve as the senior engineering voice in client engagements, partnering closely with VP-level and Asset Manager stakeholders.· Translate client business objectives, engineering workflows, and operational needs into structured implementation plans.· Oversee the end-to-end deployment of ComboCurve within complex client environments, ensuring full adoption and integration.· Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, Sales Engineering, and Support to ensure alignment and smooth execution.· Provide high-level technical guidance on reservoir, production, reserves, and capital workflows as implemented inside ComboCurve.· Identify workflow gaps, risks, and dependencies across client systems and ensure they are addressed proactively.· Develop processes, frameworks, and best practices for scalable enterprise implementations.· Represent the voice of the customer internally, contributing to product roadmap discussions and feature prioritization.· Support training, knowledge transfer, and change management strategies to drive sustainable client adoption.
Qualifications· 10–15+ years of petroleum engineering experience at multiple E&P operators (mid-size to large preferred).· Strong understanding of end-to-end engineering workflows, including planning, reservoir management, development, economics, reserves, and operations.· Demonstrated experience leading or heavily contributing to large-scale technology or workflow implementations inside an operator.· Comfortable presenting to and collaborating with VPs, Asset Managers, Directors, and senior technical leaders.· Ability to connect high-level business objectives to technical workflows and practical deployment strategies.· Strong project management skills with experience directing cross-functional teams.· Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear action plans.· Highly organized, proactive, and able to drive execution in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications· Experience deploying or integrating engineering software platforms within an operator.· PMP certification· Familiarity with data workflows, reserves systems, economic modeling tools, and planning platforms.· Prior leadership experience in implementation, technical consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles.· Exposure to SaaS environments or digital transformation initiatives.
What success looks like · Enterprise clients are fully deployed, operational, and adopting ComboCurve’s workflows end-to-end.· Implementation processes are streamlined, repeatable, and scalable across client types.· Cross-functional alignment between Customer Success, Product, and client-facing teams is strong and consistent.· The Director becomes a trusted advisor to strategic customers and an internal champion of workflow excellence.
