The Residential Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and managing client relationships within the residential construction market. This role involves identifying potential customers, presenting construction services or products, and guiding clients through the sales process. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping homeowners bring their construction projects to life.
Essential Job Functions:
- Identify and pursue new residential sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
- Attend local events, home shows, and community functions to promote services.
- Client Engagement:
- Conduct in-home consultations to assess client needs and present tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, residential developers, and other industry professionals such as insurance agents, real estate agents, property managers, etc
- Sales Process Management:
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales in alignment with company goals.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and design teams to ensure client expectations are met.
- Provide accurate information to internal teams for project planning and execution.
- Reporting & CRM:
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.
- Provide regular updates on sales pipeline and performance metrics.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Customer-focused with a consultative sales approach.
- Ability to read basic construction plans and understand residential building processes.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in residential sales, preferably in construction, remodeling, or home improvement.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
