Structural Welder / Fabrication Specialist in Virginia Beach, Virginia at Qualdoc, LLC

• Perform welding using MIG, TIG, wire feed, spot welding, and oxy-acetylene methods
• Prepare, clean, and finish welds to meet quality standards
• Read blueprints and layout materials for fabrication or modification of parts
• Operate grinders, sanders, and other finishing tools
• Fabricate and weld structural components such as I-beams, frames, and tanks in multiple positions
• Assemble components using clamping, bolting, drilling, tapping, and cutting techniques
• Inspect materials, welds, and equipment for quality and functionality
• Adjust welding machines, including wire and gas settings, as needed
• Maintain welding tools and equipment, reporting any issues for repair
• Assist with pressure testing and rework when required
• Track completed work and time accurately
• Communicate any production, safety, or quality concerns to leadership

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• MIG certification preferred
• TIG experience or certification is a plus
• Trade school or vocational training is an advantage
