About This Position
Job Title: Senior Regulatory Specialist
The Senior Regulatory Specialist will support compliance initiatives and activities to ensure that QuestSpecialty’s processes and products comply with applicable regulations and standards. They will work across various industry sectors, including Sanitary Supply, Industrial, Foodservice, and Fleet/Transportation to support our programs. This position will be critical in the authoring of our Safety Data Sheets (SDS) utilizing SDS authoring software, their review, and approval.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support compliance with OSHA Hazard Communication, Canada WHMIS, and related SDS authoring against applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain raw material SDS sheets, including comparisons and reviews, and supplier outreach to support regulatory compliance.
- Notify customers of SDS changes, support customer compliance questionnaires and inquiries.
- Conduct monitoring of new and existing regulations and advise on how they impact QuestSpecialty products and processes.
- Support product labeling compliance for OSHA, WHMIS, GHS, CPSC, and related requirements.
- Perform transportation classifications for products being shipped, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including USDOT, IATA, and IMDG.
- Support State Registrations, including renewals.
- Support USMCA Certificates, Certificates of Origins, and related processes.
- Support company training programs, including Safety, HazCom, and Product Compliance.
- Support Federal and State regulatory compliance, such as EPA FIFRA, TCEQ WRPA, EPA RCRA, State Pesticides, EPA TRI, EPA SPPCC, TCEQ Storm Water programs, State and Federal VOC compliance, California Proposition 65 compliance, Label RTK compliance.
- Support the development and submission of registration dossiers to EPA and other regulatory agencies.
- Support SOP development, approvals, reviews, and maintenance.
- Work with internal colleagues such as Purchasing, Operations, QC, Safety, and Customer Service to support regulatory compliance-related activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- BS degree in technical discipline, chemistry, or related discipline preferred
- 3-10 years of experience desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience operating with an ERP
- Demonstrated Organizational and Communication Experience
Physical Requirements:
The ability to remains in a seated position for most of the day, with occasional standing or walking to move around the office
