About This Position
About the Role:
The Sr. Salesforce Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions that align with the organization's strategic objectives. This position requires deep technical expertise to optimize Salesforce architecture, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems and enhancing overall platform performance. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions. Additionally, the role involves leading system upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maximize the value of Salesforce investments. Ultimately, the Sr. Salesforce Systems Engineer will ensure the Salesforce environment is robust, secure, and adaptable to evolving business needs across the United States operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce platform development and administration.
- Proficiency in Salesforce technologies including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, and integration patterns.
- Experience with Salesforce deployment tools such as Change Sets, Salesforce DX, or similar.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards within Salesforce environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or other advanced Salesforce certifications.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools related to Salesforce development.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms and integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, AWS).
- Background in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong communication skills with experience in stakeholder management and technical leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement advanced Salesforce solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Manage and optimize Salesforce integrations with third-party systems and internal applications.
- Lead system architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues to maintain high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Oversee Salesforce platform upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design and configuration details.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in Salesforce implementations.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance user experience.
Skills:
The required skills such as Apex programming, Lightning Component development, and Salesforce API integration are essential for building and customizing the Salesforce platform to meet complex business needs. Proficiency in deployment tools and understanding of Salesforce architecture enable the engineer to efficiently manage system upgrades and maintain platform stability.
