Accountabilities:

Review and validate environmental analytical data to ensure it meets regulatory and methodological standards.
Provide scientifically defensible decisions regarding data usability across multiple projects and clients.
Communicate technical requirements and custom reporting needs with data analysts to generate project-specific deliverables.
Oversee project teams, including data analysts, technicians, and other chemists, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Assist in the preparation and revision of Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), SOPs, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with clients, laboratories, and internal teams to resolve data discrepancies and provide guidance on technical implications.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by developing automation tools and optimizing workflow efficiency.
Mentor colleagues and contribute to technical training programs to enhance departmental competency and accuracy.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental chemistry and data validation.
Solid environmental laboratory experience and familiarity with analytical methods.
Knowledge of federal, state, or local agency data validation guidelines (e.g., US EPA National Functional Guidelines).
Proficiency in data management and visualization tools; familiarity with EQuIS DQM is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams, project stakeholders, and clients.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results under deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
