About This Position
Production Planning ManagerRole
A Production Planning Manager oversees daily production schedules, optimizes resource allocation, and ensures efficient manufacturing processes to meet customer demands and company goals.
Key Responsibilities- Production Scheduling: Develop and implement detailed production schedules to align with customer demands and optimize manufacturing efficiency and costs. Assign daily tasks, and monitoring performance to meet production goals and assembly flow.
- Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, logistics, Sales and Ops teams to ensure timely availability of materials and to meet production targets.
- Collaboration: Collaborate and work with QC, Manufacturing, Procurement and Ops teams to meet production schedules and targets.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management processes, including monitoring raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to minimize overstock and shortages.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement and manage production planning software and systems to enhance visibility and control over the production process, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Inspect products for defects or inconsistencies and maintaining compliance with company and industry quality standards.
- Ensuring machinery and equipment are functioning correctly, conducting regular maintenance and minimizing downtime.
- Implement solutions to improve and ensure efficient production workflow, meeting production targets, maintaining equipment, managing production staff and ensuring product quality.
- Acting as a liaison between management and production staff, communicating goals, providing coaching and resolving conflicts.
- Maintaining production logs, performance reports, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement process improvements.
- Monitor workflow, productivity and quality control.
- Reports directly to Senior Management
