Job Description

The Warehouse Tech is responsible for handling, storing, and distributing raw materials, finished products, and supplies within the warehouse. This role ensures accurate inventory management, maintains a safe and organized warehouse environment, and supports production and shipping operations in compliance with food safety standards.

• Receive, unload, and store incoming raw materials (e.g., gelatin, flavorings) and packaging supplies, verifying quantities and condition against documentation.

• Pick, pack, and prepare finished products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.

• Conduct regular inventory counts, update records, and report discrepancies to supervisors to maintain accurate stock levels.

• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, to move materials and products.

• Organize and store materials in designated areas, adhering to food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP) and proper storage conditions (e.g., temperature control).

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping floors, disposing of waste, and sanitizing storage areas as required.

• Follow workplace safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and report hazards or equipment issues to supervisors.

• Work with production, packing, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines and finished goods to shipping.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

• Forklift Certification preferred but not required.

Skills:

Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP) is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to read and follow instructions, including picking lists and inventory records. Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Team-oriented with good communication skills.
