This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of financial institution expertise, valuation services, and strategic practice development. The position is designed for a highly experienced valuation professional who will lead complex FI-focused engagements, shape a growing consulting vertical, and serve as a trusted SME for audit and advisory work. You will oversee high-stakes valuation projects including banking assets, regulatory reporting, and M&A-related analyses while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory readiness. In this role, you will also play a key part in expanding client relationships and developing a sustainable book of business. This is a high-impact opportunity within a collaborative, fast-growing environment that values leadership, autonomy, and expertise.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and oversee complex valuation engagements for financial institutions, including CECL models, mortgage servicing rights, core deposit intangibles, and FHLB-related analyses, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for FI assurance work, reviewing valuation reports for PCAOB audits and providing defensible insights on assumptions and methodologies.
  • Drive business development efforts by maintaining and expanding a personal portfolio of FI clients and identifying new consulting opportunities within the banking and financial services sector.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of managers and senior professionals, fostering technical excellence and strong execution capabilities within the FI valuation practice.
  • Provide expert advisory support to audit teams and external clients on valuation methodologies, M&A accounting, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to practice growth strategy, including process development, client engagement standards, and expansion of the FI valuation service line.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced credentials strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of valuation experience with a strong focus on financial institutions, ideally within a top-tier or Big 4 accounting environment.
  • CPA required; additional certifications such as ASA, CFA, or ABV strongly preferred.
  • Deep technical knowledge of ASC 805 and FI-specific valuation frameworks, including regulatory and audit standards.
  • Proven experience managing PCAOB-level audit scrutiny and delivering defensible valuation analyses under regulatory review.
  • Strong business development track record with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to grow and manage a client portfolio.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building and managing high-performing teams, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable guidance.
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and confidence in engaging with regulators, audit partners, and senior client stakeholders.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market standards
  • Flexible work schedules supporting work-life integration
  • Generous paid time off, including extended holiday break periods
  • Paid parental leave, including maternity, adoption, and caregiver support
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Mental health support, wellness coaching, and employee assistance programs
  • Leadership development programs and one-on-one professional coaching
  • Access to career growth initiatives and immersive personal development experiences
  • Inclusive and collaborative workplace culture focused on long-term growth and impact.
