About This Position

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Client Development Manager to join our growing Food Sales East team. In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening existing client partnerships, supporting new business development, and helping manufacturers grow their presence in the foodservice marketplace.
Location
The role is based out of the Southeastern United States. The ideal candidate resides within our regional footprint and near one of our FSE offices, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment. Proximity to an office is preferred but not required.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client decision-makers through consistent communication and exceptional service
- Develop and execute client-specific growth strategies to increase sales and market penetration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned manufacturers, owning performance, execution, and results
- Support sales initiatives by preparing presentations, proposals, and follow-up materials
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive activity, and new business opportunities
- Create and deliver compelling presentations that highlight our brokerage capabilities and value proposition
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and client development teams to ensure alignment and execution
- Stay current on industry trends, client needs, and evolving foodservice dynamics
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in food brokerage, manufacturing, or foodservice distribution
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and earn trust
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 25%
