Cost Accountant at Integrated Water Services Inc – Brenham, Texas

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a hands-on Cost Accountant (AKA: Cost Accounting Analyst) to support manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and operational decision-making for our Brenham-based plant. In this role, you’ll work closely with Operations and Finance leadership to maintain accurate product costs, manage inventory valuation, support ERP processes, and deliver insights that improve margins and factory performance.

• Manage standard costs, BOMs, cost rollups, and inventory valuation
• Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, and WIP/COGS analysis
• Analyze cost variances and recommend improvements
• Support financial modeling, dashboards, and margin initiatives
• Process AP transactions and ensure PO/3-way match compliance
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering on cost decisions

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years in manufacturing cost accounting, plant finance or related role
• Strong Excel skills and experience with major ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
• Hands-on experience with inventory management processes (cycle counts, physical inventories, valuation)
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred
• Multi-entity manufacturing background
• Ability to work on-site in Brenham at least 3 days per week
