Summary:

The Stewardship & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening relationships with donors, partners, families, and staff through thoughtful communication and consistent stewardship.
This position primarily supports donor stewardship and engagement while also assisting with organization-wide communications that highlight the Club’s mission and impact.
BGCNIC serves 3,000 children ages 5-18 at 39 sites across northern Indiana through summer and before and after-care programming, with a strong focus on social and emotional learning, college and workforce readiness, and academic enrichment to ensure every child has a chance to meet his or her potential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Stewardship & Donor Relations
- Execute timely and personalized donor stewardship, including thank-you notes, emails, and other communications
- Support the development and distribution of impact reports and updates
- Maintain awareness of key stakeholders, including donors, partners, sponsors, and community leaders
- Develop and implement creative, year-round stewardship touchpoints to deepen engagement and retention
CRM & Data Integrity
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donors, prospects, and partners within the organization’s CRM
- Ensure data integrity through audits, updates, and proper entry of gifts, interactions, and notes
- Support reporting and segmentation efforts for targeted communications and campaigns
Communications (Internal & External)
- Manage and execute organization-wide communications, including:
- Donor and stakeholder emails
- Club-wide updates (“Club Notes”)
- Staff newsletters
- Program Registration
- Write and distribute press releases to local media contacts to elevate awareness of Club programs, events, and impact
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather stories, updates, and program highlights
- Manage the organization’s email marketing platform, including building, scheduling, and analyzing campaigns
Team & Organizational Support
- Actively participate as a member of the Resource Development team
- Support key initiatives, campaigns, and events throughout the year
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail, especially in data entry and donor records
- Experience with CRM systems
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience writing press releases
- Creative thinker with an interest in donor engagement and storytelling
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Skills and Abilities:
- Passion for the mission of the Boys & Girls Club
- Ability to translate impact into compelling messaging
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through
- Comfortable working across teams and gathering information
- Must be self-motivated, competitive, creative, personable, and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal skills. Strong emphasis on solution-based thinking, positivity, and ability to execute. Team player who is ethical, transparent in communication, and treats colleagues, Club members, and their families with the highest level of respect. Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time.
Salary Range:
Starting at $18/hr
