About the RoleAs a Pastry/Baker at our Lakeview location, you will play a key role in creating high-quality baked goods that delight our guests and enhance their dining experience. In this role, you will prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts while ensuring that each item meets our high standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
You will also maintain a clean and organized workspace, follow all food safety and sanitation regulations, and monitor inventory levels for baking ingredients and supplies. Collaboration with the culinary team is essential, as you will contribute ideas for new recipes and seasonal menu offerings. Your creativity and passion for baking will help elevate our menu and create memorable experiences for our guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes
Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area while adhering to health and safety standards
Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies and assist with ordering as needed
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and seasonal menu items
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef in a professional kitchen
Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
Culinary degree or certification in baking and pastry arts
Experience preparing baked goods for specialty diets (gluten-free, vegan, etc.)
Previous experience in a customer-facing hospitality environment
Baking Expertise – Strong understanding of baking techniques and the ability to follow recipes accurately to produce consistent, high-quality baked goods.
Attention to Detail – Ensuring pastries and desserts meet high standards for both taste and visual presentation.
Time Management – Ability to manage multiple baking tasks and meet production deadlines.
Creativity (Preferred) – Ability to contribute new ideas for recipes and seasonal offerings.
Communication & Teamwork – Strong collaboration with kitchen staff to support efficient service and a positive work environment.
