Cornerstone Income Properties is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property, completing service requests, preparing vacant units for new residents, and ensuring the community remains safe and well maintained.
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on technician with apartment community experience who takes pride in quality work and excellent resident service.
ResponsibilitiesComplete daily work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner
Perform make-ready / unit turns including repairs, cleaning coordination, and inspections
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, and carpentry issues
Assist with preventative maintenance to maintain property systems and equipment
Maintain property grounds, common areas, and building exteriors
Respond to maintenance emergencies and on-call requests when scheduled
Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards and company procedures
Communicate with property management regarding maintenance needs and completed work
Assist with vendor coordination when needed
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance shop in organized condition
Previous apartment maintenance experience required (1–3 years preferred)
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general maintenance
EPA Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing stairs, bending, and working outdoors
Ability to work on-call rotations and occasional weekends
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
HVAC Certification or Universal EPA Certification
Experience with make-ready turns in apartment communities
Basic knowledge of property maintenance software or mobile work order systems
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
