Responsibilities
The Internal Communications Intern will support the Internal Communications team with maintaining and improving the company intranet, assisting with the use of AI tools to support communication workflows, and helping produce employee-facing content. This role offers hands-on experience in digital content management and internal communications while collaborating with the broader MarComm team.
Intranet Content Management and Optimization
- Assist with auditing and organizing existing intranet content to improve clarity, usability, and searchability.
- Support the refresh and development of intranet pages and resources to enhance the employee experience.
- Help ensure intranet content is accurate, up to date, and aligned with brand and communication standards.
- Contribute ideas for improving navigation, structure, and overall usability of the platform.
AI Enablement and Communication Tools
- Assist the team in implementing AI tools that support content creation, knowledge sharing, and communication workflows.
- Help test and document new AI-supported processes for drafting, summarizing, or organizing internal communications.
- Support the development of guidance or best practices for teams using AI in communication workflows.
Employee Content and Communications Support
- Assist with drafting and editing internal communications such as announcements, newsletters, and employee resources.
- Support the development of employee-facing content that promotes engagement and understanding across teams.
- Help coordinate and organize content for internal campaigns and communication initiatives.
Collaboration and Learning
- Work closely with the Internal Communications and broader MarComm teams to support ongoing communication initiatives.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to learn about integrated communication strategy.
Contribute ideas that enhance the employee communication experience and support organizational clarity.
Learning Opportunities
- Gain hands-on experience in internal communications and employee engagement strategy.
- Develop skills in intranet content management and digital workplace communications.
- Learn how AI tools can be integrated into modern communication workflows.
- Collaborate with professionals across the MarComm team and gain exposure to enterprise communication strategy.
Qualifications
Experience and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- Interest in internal communications, digital workplace platforms, or organizational communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to clarity and tone.
- Familiarity with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or intranet tools is a plus.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI tools that support productivity and communication.

Duration, Location, and Hours
- This is a summer internship, expected to last approximately 8 weeks.
- Flexible working hours, with an expectation of 30-40 hours per week.
- This internship requires in-office attendance and collaboration.
- Compensation: $23/hr - $27/hr
