About This Position


POSITION SUMMARY

The Family Ambassador plays a crucial role in connecting individuals and communities with our specialized mental health and addiction treatment services. You will be responsible for building relationships with referral sources, such as healthcare professionals, community organizations and educational institutions, to promote awareness of our programs and facilitate access to care for those in need. As a Family Ambassador, you will manage business to business relationships, connect families with BrentCare Behavioral Health for support for their adolescent children, and streamline communication for the admissions process. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between the families, professional referents, and admissions team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary responsibilities include implementing marketing activities that generate leads and revenue through market research, networking and building strategic partnerships.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness of BrentCare Behavioral Health programs within the community.
  • Responsible for identifying, pursuing, and nurturing business opportunities that align with BrentCare Behavioral Health Strategic Goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, schools and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to develop materials and resources for outreach activities, including presentations, brochures and online content.
  • Conduct educational presentations and workshops to increase understanding of mental health and addiction issues and the services available at BrentCare Behavioral Health.
  • Attend networking events, conferences, and community gatherings to represent BrentCare Behavioral Health and establish partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between referral sources and BrentCare Behavioral Health, facilitating communication and coordinating admission for individuals seeking treatment.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting outreach activities, including number of contacts made, referrals generated, and outcomes achieved utilizing BrentCare Behavioral Health Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System.
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in the mental health and addiction treatment field to effectively communicate the value of BrentCare Behavioral Health.

Support and Education:

  • Offer emotional support and guidance to families coping with the challenges of adolescent mental health and substance abuse.
  • Conduct educational sessions for families to enhance their understanding of the treatment process and equip them with coping strategies.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the admissions team, including therapists, counselors, and medical professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Facilitate family involvement in treatment planning and decision-making processes.

Advocacy:

  • Work closely with community resources and support networks to strengthen the overall support system for adolescents and their families.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; or minimum of equivalent field experience.
  • Previous experience working with substance and mental health related fields in a business development capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach to family support.
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong ability to network as well as maintaining pre-existing network.
