Position Summary

The Electrical Assistant assists electrician with the installment and maintenance of Advanced Green Technologies electrical/solar power systems. The worksite is in Pensacola

Job Responsibilities

  • Checks electrical units for loose connections
  • Measures and cuts wires and conduits
  • Drills holes for electrical hookups
  • Assists electrician by providing he/she tools needed on the job
  • Helps with the daily power down of project and storage of electrical equipment
  • Follows safety protocols
  • Installs Solar modules, racking, wiring

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education

  • High school degree or GED

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years on the job training in a similar role
  • Prior electrical experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Must be able to pass drug screening test
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Ability to decipher between different colors of wiring
  • Ability to use basic electrical hand tools (pliers, electrician scissors, wire strippers, etc)
  • Ability to use electrical equipment like thermal scanners, circuit tracers and multimeters
  • Good listening skills
  • Fine motor skills
  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.
