ENVIR TECH at Forrest General Hospital – Tylertown, Mississippi

Demonstrates the ability to perform cleaning and trash removal functions, carpet and hard surface maintenance, in all areas of the hospital on a routine and project basis. Will maintain equipment in clean, working condition, demonstrate knowledge of proper use of chemicals and other supplies. Will be responsible for moving furniture and equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers/shampooers, aides carts, etc., and be exposed to various types of chemicals. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Performance Expectations: ï‚· Utilizes safe and proper use of Chemical Dispensing Unit. ï‚· Utilizes safe and proper use of all disinfectants and cleaning products. ï‚· Utilizes safe and proper use of wet floor signs to avoid potential accidents or injuries. ï‚· Utilizes safe and proper handling of regular waste as well as hazardous waste. ï‚· Maintains a clean and safe hospital environment Qualifications: Education/Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred Work Experience: One year previous work experience preferred Previous experience in housekeeping or healthcare field preferred.
