TECHNICIAN, PSYCHIATRIC in POMONA, California at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center

Position summary: Provides care to patients suffering from mental illness and developmental disabilities. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients and assists with daily living skills as needed. Observes patient behavior, evaluates patient condition, and updates clinical notes accordingly. Prepares and dispenses medicines per physician's orders. Leads patients in therapeutic and recreational activities. May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: LICENSURE: State of California Licensure as a Psychiatric Technician EDUCATION: High school or equivalent CERTIFICATION: BLS; AB 508 certification EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience effectively working with therapeutic interventions for patients with behavioral/mental illness. Must have effective written communication skills and an ability to write cogent progress notes and reports.

$23.47 - $33.03 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
