Job Summary:

The Gasoline and Diesel Tanker Driver is a key role in ensuring successful partnerships with our customers and maintaining business operations. The primary objective is to safely drive an 18-speed tractor with a tanker trailer and make fuel deliveries on time, without incident. We provide local routes between Rhode Island (RI) and Massachusetts (MA), allowing drivers to be home daily. Our home base is in Johnston, RI, where drivers start and stop their daily routes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Comply with all DOT and FMSCA regulations and company policies.

- Ensure the truck is loaded properly with the correct fuels for each drop location at designated terminals.

- Deliver products in correct quantities and at correct times as instructed by the dispatcher.

- Complete work as assigned by dispatch in a safe and efficient manner.

- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.

- Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- Minimum of 1 year of tanker fuel hauling experience required.

- CDL - Class A.

- TWIC card.

- Valid DOT physical card.

- Hazmat / Tanker endorsement.

- Safe driving record.

- Familiarity with Providence, Braintree, and Boston terminals and terminal carding is a plus.

- Ability to read and understand English.

- Ability to read and understand numbers, count, add/subtract.

- Great attention to detail.

- Excellent organizational skills.

- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds.

- Initiative and willingness to learn.

- Pleasant customer service attitude.
