EEC Solutions is looking for an Electronic Security Systems Tech / Admin. This position is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the USSOCOM Security Management System (SMS) and its related electronic and cybersecurity infrastructure. A qualified candidate will need to be a US citizen and possess an active adjudicated background investigation for access up to the TOP SECRET classification level and SCI eligible. Only candidates with this qualification will be invited for interviews.

This position ensures the continuous operation, integrity, and security of the SMS, which includes all associated hardware, software, and networked components such as access control devices, surveillance systems, and physical barriers.

The ESS Technician will install, upgrade, and troubleshoot all components of the SMS; assist with cybersecurity compliance and IT support; perform system testing and maintenance; and provide user training to ensure effective and secure system use. The role also requires coordination with the PHYSEC Branch, vendors, and technical support teams to sustain operational readiness across all systems.

This position requires on-site performance and the ability to support 24-hour operations as needed, though normal working hours are 0700–1600, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays or approved leave.

Key Responsibilities:

System Installation and Maintenance:

* Install, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot all components of the USSOCOM Security Management System (SMS).

* Repair or replace malfunctioning software, hardware, and field devices such as balanced magnetic switches (BMS), maglocks, card readers, cameras, motion sensors, barricades, and turnstiles.

* Research costs, prepare estimates, and submit for approval for system-related upgrades or repairs.

* Analyze operational trends to recommend system improvements.

* Report all system discrepancies and violations to the Security Management Office (SMO).

Cybersecurity Compliance and IT Support:

* Support the PHYSEC Branch in ensuring all SMS systems comply with DoD cybersecurity instructions and policies.

* Deploy security patches and updates, and maintain IT hardware, software, and networks supporting the SMS.

* Perform routine IT support, including troubleshooting system issues, cleaning and maintaining ID badge printers, and monitoring system health.

Routine Testing and Quality Assurance:

* Assist in annual and periodic testing of SMS components to ensure full functionality and compliance.

* Document test results and report deficiencies or failures to the PHYSEC Branch.

Training and End-User Support:

* Educate and assist end users and security managers in basic operational procedures of the SMS and its subsystems.

* Promote and distribute official USSOCOM Security policies and operator-level handouts provided by the PHYSEC Branch.

* Provide instruction on computer and IT operations related to SMS and video platforms.

Coordination and Technical Collaboration:

* Coordinate with the PHYSEC Branch, other contractors, NAVSEA, and hardware/software vendors for technical guidance and support.

* Ensure the SMS and supporting networks, systems, and equipment remain fully operational and secure at all times.

Operational Availability:

* Provide on-site support during normal duty hours (0700–1600, Monday–Friday) and be available to support 24-hour operations as required.

* Observe all federal holidays and approved leave policies as determined by the PHYSEC Branch Chief.

Protection Recommendations:

* Advise the government team on materials, processes, and information requiring protection and the most effective means to safeguard them.

Training and Awareness:

* Support and manage comprehensive security education, training, and awareness programs for government and contractor personnel.

* Instructional Support: Develop and deliver both formal and informal training on handling, safeguarding, and destroying classified and CUI materials.

Operational Support:

* Provide on-site security support, ensuring availability for 24-hour operations as needed within standard work hours of 0700–1600, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Qualifications:

It is required that the Electronic Security Systems Technician / Administrator position has the following qualifications:

a. Physically capable of installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer systems and electronic security system components including but not limited to video surveillance systems, access control devices, intrusion detection systems and barricades and programing control panels.
b. 6 years of electronic security systems experience or equivalent
c. Experience with low-voltage wiring, DC circuits, and PLCs
d. Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and identifying and resolving false alarm conditions for electronic security systems including but not limited to motion detectors, access card readers, computer hardware and software, and other components.
e. Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms and/or lifts to access equipment. Requires some outside work in extreme conditions
f. Effective written and verbal communication skills
g. Basic to proficient computer knowledge with willingness and aptitude to learn
h. Clearance: Must be a US citizen and possess an active adjudicated background investigation for access up to the TOP SECRET classification level and SCI eligible.
