Human Resource Generalist at Presto Distribution Center Inc – Nettleton, Mississippi

Presto Distribution Center is seeking a full-time Human Resource Generalist to join our growing team at our new facility in Nettleton, MS. This location supports the distribution of National Presto Industries' houseware products, and we're looking for a motivated, knowledgeable HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be a key partner in driving HR initiatives and supporting our employees throughout the facility. We are seeking someone who is energetic, adaptable, and confident working independently while effectively prioritizing the needs of both the team and the operation. The Human Resource Generalist will collaborate closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure the facility is fully staffed and well supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the recruiting process, including developing job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding
• Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage benefit administration
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
• Work with the management team on employee issues, including performance, discipline and safety concerns
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Other duties as assigned

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
• Minimum of one year’s experience in a generalist role
• Knowledge of HR policy, procedure and employment law

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with employees at all levels
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Prior experience managing compensation

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position generally works in an office environment; however, there are times it may be necessary to be in the warehouse, which may include extreme temperatures.

General work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm daily. This is a salaried, exempt position.
