About This Position

Principal Product Designer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Product Designer in United States.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the design of high-impact, buyer- and owner-facing experiences within a fast-growing, premium product ecosystem. You will own the visual and interaction design of complex features, from a website and mobile app rebrand to personalized buyer journeys and owner-centric functionality like swap and scheduling tools. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, luxury-first design sensibilities, and hands-on execution, with the ability to translate complex concepts into elegant, intuitive experiences. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product, is central to success, along with a strong focus on customer-driven design and data-informed decisions. This contract role provides runway for meaningful impact, with potential for extension or transition to a full-time position in the future.
Accountabilities:
  • Lead design of ultra-personalized buyer experiences on web and mobile platforms to drive conversion.
  • Own the visual and interaction design perspective of a brand redesign, ensuring cohesive, premium aesthetics.
  • Design and enhance owner-focused experiences, including swap functionality, scheduling, AI concierge, and financing tools.
  • Translate complex workflows and concepts into intuitive, luxury-level user experiences across platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure design feasibility, quality, and consistency.
  • Mentor other designers and provide thought leadership to raise design standards across projects.
  • Apply data-driven insights and customer research to guide design decisions and optimize user engagement.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of product design experience, with significant experience at senior or principal levels.
  • Portfolio demonstrating luxury or premium consumer product design (hospitality, real estate, travel, fintech, or related industries preferred).
  • Expertise in translating brand vision into cohesive product experiences and simplifying complex concepts for high-end users.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries and design systems; experience with iOS, Android, and responsive web design.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in design workflows (e.g., generative design, AI-assisted prototyping, documentation).
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and engineering partnership skills.
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments where speed and quality coexist.
  • Customer-obsessed mindset with attention to detail, typography, spacing, and interaction consistency.
  • Nice to have: experience with fractional ownership, real estate, luxury travel, or loyalty/swap/exchange platforms; familiarity with design system migrations or brand redesigns.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary and potential stock options.
  • Unlimited flexible PTO for exempt employees.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Sponsored memberships to One Medical, Ginger, and Carrot.
  • 401(k) plan to support future savings.
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave.
  • Home office stipend and monthly cell phone reimbursement.
  • Quarterly remote team-building events and professional development opportunities.
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility to balance work and personal life.
