Position Summary
Zachry Construction is seeking a Pipe Foreman to lead and manage a crew responsible for constructing drainage structures and underground utilities on heavy civil projects. The Pipe Foreman is responsible for achieving production goals, tracking material quantities, monitoring costs, and maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and communication skills to effectively manage day-to-day field operations.
What You'll Do
- Plan and direct crew activities to meet production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and cost reports to track progress and resolve material discrepancies.
- Supervise the installation of various pipe materials, including RCP, HDPE, Box Culverts, Cylinder, PVC, and Ductal pipe.
- Oversee excavation, grading, sloping, and concrete installation with proper use of shoring, trench boxes, and laser setup.
- Train, mentor, and guide crew members on safe work practices, production efficiency, and equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping, and equipment logs.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other teams to ensure project schedules and resources align.
- Enforce company safety policies through toolbox talks, safety meetings, and proactive field supervision.

What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of heavy civil construction experience with drainage structures and utilities.
- Proven supervisory experience required.
- Strong knowledge of pipe types, installation methods, soil mechanics, and excavation procedures.
- Familiarity with GPS, robotics, and technical survey systems preferred.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and task-oriented.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions up to 90% of the time.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on uneven terrain.
- Experience with Mobile Timecard or similar systems preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Must be licensed and approved to operate a company vehicle.
