Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing daily warehouse activities, including supervising staff and overseeing inventory. This role ensures that all routine operations meet the department’s daily performance expectations. To succeed, the individual must be able to perform all essential duties effectively. Additional duties, assignments, and special projects may be assigned at the discretion of Warehouse Management or the Skyport Hospitality Operations Team.

Scheduling Needs

Must be open to work any 8.5-hour shift between 6 AM and 6 PM, any day of the week.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily operations and provide support in managing warehouse functions.
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory; ensure proper storage according to policy.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies with computerized records, and replenish stock as needed.
  • Oversee the transfer and scheduling of inventory between departments and for timely deliveries.
  • Sign for, sort, and distribute inbound shipments and mail services.
  • Ensure all inventory is stored in the correct warehouse locations and maintain overall organization.
  • Assign workloads, determine staffing needs, and conduct daily crew meetings focused on safety, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Monitor and report on daily expenditures, task completion, and shift performance to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop strategies that improve warehouse efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement new procedures and best practices.
  • Foster positive working relationships with internal departments and act as a point of contact for operational questions and concerns.
  • Conduct daily warehouse inspections, alongside the Manager, to ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, security, and pest control standards.
  • Enforce all operating procedures, safety policies, and airport security requirements, including badging and driving privileges.
  • Ensure training is up to date regarding airport badging, driving privileges, when applicable, and other security protocols
  • Selected individuals are responsible for driving the vehicles around authorized areas loading/unloading the various products into and out of company facilities.
  • Address and resolve routine equipment issues as they arise.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Comfortable working in crowded and dynamic public settings

Education and Experience
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year TSA criminal background check
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing preferred
  • Familiarity in inventory procedures preferred
  • Pallet jack and picking experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems
Working Environment

Airport: This position operates in a climate-controlled international airport environment. The temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public is outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc. The position requires use of public spaces as provided by the airport.

Warehouse: This position may require frequent exposure to a warehouse, storage areas, restaurant or retail operation environment. Regular exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold/freezing), fumes, vapors, industrial restaurant equipment, noise, and guests will be a common occurrence.

The nature of warehouse work requires the Warehouse Supervisor to possess certain physical abilities. Those listed here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform this job. Most of the workday is spent standing or walking and working in close proximity to others. Eye-hand coordination, depth perception, finger dexterity, and functional vision and speech perception are required. Some bending, crouching, constant walking for long periods of time and pushing/pulling and lifting/lowering of up to 100 lbs. Some repetitive motions with hands, wrists, or arms. Must be able to operate all equipment used in the warehouse. Some exposure to skin irritants, electrical equipment, and sharp instruments. Risk to these exposures is minimized by strict adherence to company standards, policies and procedures.
