Position Information
Under general supervision of the Financial Administrative Officer(FAO) and the Financial Operations Manager(FOM), the Research Administrator 1 will provide comprehensive pre-award and post-award administration and support to faculty, researchers, staff and students for the affiliated centers of the multidisciplinary Institute of Integrative Genome Biology(IIGB). These centers include the Center for Plant Cell Biology(CEPCEB) and Center for Infectious Disease Vector Research(CIDVR), as well as the Botany & Plant Sciences department. The incumbent will work in partnership with a team of analysts to manage over 250 funds sources within one large multi-disciplinary research and teaching unit. The position provides comprehensive financial support while maintaining fiscal integrity across all funds and accounts, ensuring they remain fully auditable and in reportable condition. Assist with annual fiscal close activities and support the coordination and administration of ad hoc seminars. The full salary range for the Research Administrator 1 is $28.16 - $41.18 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $28.16 - $30.52 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
