Zildjian is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team in Norwell, MA.

The Maintenance Mechanic works individuals across multiple departments and a wide variety of equipment to keep our production process operating smoothly and consistently. Success in this position requires excellent problem-solving skills, mechanical repair, robotics knowledge and a strong aptitude for learning new skills and systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair of equipment requiring knowledge of mechanics, electrical, controls, pneumatics, fabrication, and hydraulics, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints or engineering specifications for installation, operation and repair.
  • Provide technical support and training to Machinist and production operators as needed.
  • Diagnose and analyze difficult operating malfunctions and to affect major, extensive or emergency repairs and maintain equipment in such a manner as to minimize unnecessary downtime.
  • Assist in setting up predictive and preventative maintenance programs and performs timely equipment inspections to insure proper operation and safety compliance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Repair, fabricate and install equipment using electrical, and machine stop tools.
  • Notify Manager or Safety & Health Specialist of safety related problems.
  • Prepare maintenance and repair logs and otherwise keep the manufacturing and engineering departments informed on activities, equipment performance, project status, etc.
  • Clean and maintain secure and safe work environment.
  • Familiar with OSHA safety practices.
  • Organize and execute tasks regarding preventative maintenance items, changing filters, grinding rollers etc.
  • Installs, repairs and maintains all equipment in the factory - motors, transformers, lights, generators, circuits, and basic components.
  • Executes and prioritizes work orders.
  • Facilities maintenance work including snow removal and other duties.
  • Can be creative and make parts as needed for repairs on equipment.
  • Ability to work individually on projects and collaboratively in a team environment.
