Description:

Landscape Designer

Position Summary

The Landscape Designer is responsible for creating functional, visually appealing outdoor environments for commercial and/or residential properties. This role collaborates with clients, account managers, and operations teams to develop design concepts, prepare plans, and support projects from initial concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop landscape design concepts, plans, and presentations based on client needs and site conditions

· Conduct site visits, measurements, and assessments to inform design decisions

· Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software

· Collaborate with Account Managers, Estimators, and Field Managers to ensure designs align with project scope and budget

· Assist with plant selection, irrigation layouts, and hardscape design elements

· Support estimating teams with take-offs and material selections

· Present design concepts to clients and incorporate feedback into final plans

· Ensure compliance with local codes, environmental regulations, and company standards

· Provide support during installation to ensure design intent is executed properly

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Design, Horticulture, or related field (or equivalent experience)

· 1–3+ years of landscape design experience (internships considered)

· Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)

· Basic knowledge of plant materials, irrigation systems, and construction methods

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in commercial landscape design

· Familiarity with estimating and construction processes

· Knowledge of regional plant materials and environmental considerations

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Work Environment

· Combination of office and field work

· Regular site visits required

· Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
