Job Summary:
We are seeking a Hotel Accounting Manager with strong experience in hospitality finance to support daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This is a hands-on role supporting overall property accounting functions and financial controls.
Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of hotel accounting operations including financial reporting and daily transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Prepare and post journal entries with strong understanding of accounting principles
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Reconcile daily revenue, cash, and credit card transactions across multiple hotel outlets
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to financial transactions and reporting
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with supporting documentation
- Prepare balance sheet schedules and ensure ongoing accuracy
- Identify and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies
- Support audits and reporting requests from leadership or external stakeholders
- Utilize Excel for reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis
Qualifications:
- Experience in hotel accounting required
- Strong understanding of hospitality financial processes and revenue accounting
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups, and data analysis
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting senior accounting leadership within a hotel environment
- Familiarity with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, and accounting platforms
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
