  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

  • Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Drivers License.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a vital technical expert, ensuring the reliability of a diverse fleet of heavy equipment and diesel engines. This role empowers you to apply advanced diagnostic skills to support essential infrastructure projects that impact the community. What Youll Do
  • Diagnostics & Repairs
    • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic software (Jball, Snap-on, Diesel Laptops, etc.)

    • Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams

    • Perform engine timing and valve adjustments on all diesel engines

  • Mechanical Work
    • Rebuild manual and automatic transmissions and rear ends

    • Replace and repair wheel bearings, brake linings, seals, hydraulic pumps, and PTO systems

    • Perform routine maintenance and major component repairs

  • Fabrication & Support
    • Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes

    • Operate cutting torch for fabrication and repair tasks

    • Support shop operations and maintain a clean, safe work environment

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic specifically working with heavy equipment or large-scale diesel engines.

  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to perform engine timing and valve adjustments.

  • Ownership of a personal toolbox and the essential tools required for daily mechanical repairs.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform welding and cutting torch operations for fabrication and repair.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Extensive experience in the complete teardown and rebuild of transmissions and drivetrain systems.

  • Formal technical training or a completed apprenticeship in diesel engine technology.

  • Previous experience working within the heavy construction or infrastructure industry.
