Isuzu is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Fabricator to support the launch and operation of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. This role is critical to building, modifying, and supporting complex custom fabrications that enable production, maintenance, and tooling operations.

Isuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to establish a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. Located on more than 200 acres, the facility will support a flexible production line capable of manufacturing both internal combustion and electric vehicles.
Production will include N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks, with a targeted capacity of up to 50,000 units annually by 2030. Manufacturing operations are expected to begin in 2027, with additional expansion planned for 2028.
Strategically located near I-85, I-26, and the Port of Charleston, the site supports streamlined logistics and centralized operations, bringing more than 700 new jobs to the region.What You Need

- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a certified welding or metal fabrication program preferred
- Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on fabrication experience, with a strong emphasis on complex, custom-built components (fixtures, frames, tooling, structural assemblies, or production support equipment)
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan fabrication work from drawings, prints, or job intent—without detailed step-by-step instructions
- Proven experience working with tight tolerances, multi-part assemblies, and non-routine builds
- Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or STICK welding
- Strong experience operating fabrication equipment including plasma cutters, grinders, saws, press brakes, and drill presses
- Expert-level blueprint and fabrication drawing interpretation, including welding symbols and GD&T basics
- Ability to create, modify, or mark up fabrication drawings, sketches, or layouts to communicate build intent (CAD experience a plus but not required)
- Strong understanding of materials, joint design, welding processes, and fabrication best practices
- Excellent measurement, layout, and fit-up skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Maintenance, and Tooling teams
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble complex custom parts, tools, fixtures, and production support structures
- Review fabrication drawings, prints, or concepts and determine the appropriate fabrication approach, materials, and sequencing
- Create or modify fabrication drawings, sketches, or layouts when prints are incomplete or changes are required
- Cut, bend, fit, weld, and finish components to specification with minimal rework
- Operate metalworking equipment including MIG/TIG/STICK welders, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, and drill presses
- Perform precise layout and measurement using calipers, tape measures, squares, and layout tools
- Inspect fabricated components to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
- Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to develop custom solutions and equipment modifications
- Maintain fabrication tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE, hot work permits, and material handling standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area aligned with 5S and plant safety standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, tooling projects, and production modifications
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of facility startup and ongoing operations
