About the Role We’re looking for Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing various building systems and equipment. This includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of facilities. This position often works with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and may also perform general maintenance tasks like carpentry and painting. This position will be primarily focused in the hotel and in addition to reporting to the Facilities Manager, this person will also take direction from hotel management.

What You’ll Do:
· Preventative Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance of equipment
· Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and fix issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
· System Maintenance: Work with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
· General Maintenance: perform tasks such as carpentry, painting, and minor repairs
· Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with safety procedures
· Work Order Management: Create, update, and closing out work orders using CMMS system
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
· Collaboration: Working with other team members and potentially mentoring junior technicians
Minimum Qualifications:
· Ability to provide first class customer service to tenants, vendors, and property visitors
· Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
· Familiarity with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC)
· Understanding of electrical and plumbing systems and their components
· Ability to use diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and repairs as well as an ability to resolve maintenance issues effectively and efficiently
· Strong commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment
· Basic knowledge and capabilities with the Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Experience/Education:
· Minimum of 2 years’ prior experience in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or painting preferred
· EPA certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
This position typically requires a significant amount of walking with some sitting. It also requires reaching, stooping, bending, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, and feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing. Exerting up to 49 pounds frequently and using an amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Work Environment:
Duties for this position are typically performed indoors but may work outdoors in all weather conditions, including in cool and hot weather.
