- Develop, construct, test, and maintain large-scale data architectures, including databases and processing systems
- Design and implement efficient data pipelines for collection, storage, and analysis of large datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into scalable solutions
- Ensure availability, integrity, and performance optimization of data pipelines and platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues in a timely manner
- Document processes, maintain technical specifications, and provide guidance for engineering teams
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data engineering
- 57 years of experience in backend development with focus on Data Infrastructure, Platforms, and Governance
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Scala, Python, or Java
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and large-scale datasets
- Strong knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, quality, cataloging, and access management models (ABAC, RBAC)
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Kafka, Spark, dbt, Hudi, Presto, ETL frameworks, and low-latency data stores
- Experience designing systems for regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and software development lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate and mentor across teams
- Agile methodology experience and strong problem-solving aptitude
