Cambridge Health Alliance's Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a nationally recognized model of care that serves adults aged 55 and older living with chronic medical and/or mental health challenges.

Our high-functioning interdisciplinary team supports this goal by providing fully integrated medical and behavioral health services, community resources, and home-based care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job PurposeThe Activities Coordinator I plays a vital role in creating and delivering engaging, therapeutic, and person-centered activity programming for PACE participants. Leading with enthusiasm, warmth, and creativity, this individual will facilitate group and individual activities that promote participants' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. The Activities Coordinator I will work in close collaboration with the Activities Director and program participants to ensure activities are inclusive, meaningful, and enriching.
Key Responsibilities• Design, plan, and implement daily activity programs that meet the diverse needs of older adult participants
• Lead therapeutic group activities to support participants' physical, cognitive, social, and emotional wellness
• Orient new participants to the activity program
• Assist in developing and coordinating field trips for program participants
• Collaborate with Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) on day center operations including beverage service, meal assistance, and transportation as needed
• Manage participant behavioral issues and conflicts calmly and professionally
• Maintain timely completion of monthly activity calendars and supply orders
Qualifications• High school diploma or equivalent required; BA or BS in related field desirable
• Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and/or Haitian Creole highly desirable
• At least one-year experience working with frail elders in a social/medical setting
• Experience developing and running therapeutic activities
• Activity Director Certification from the National Council of Activity Professionals required within 6 months of hire
