HVAC Technician, Journeyman at Leap Service Partners LLC – Poplar Bluff, Idaho
About This Position
Summary:
The HVAC Journeyman’s primary responsibilities will involve performing preventative maintenance, but you will also install duct, compression, and other HVAC systems in new buildings. We may also have you work with apprentices looking to gain on-the-job experience.
Essential Job Duties:
Repair malfunctioning HVAC systems
Inspect functioning systems for potential issues
Install new HVAC systems in new build or renovation projects
Follow blueprints from other HVAC specialists or design your own systems
Test and troubleshoot your installations after completion
Assists our HVAC installation team with disconnect replacements, wire pulls, and other electrical items as needed
Uses a variety of tools and techniques to repair and maintain HVAC systems to determine the best way to install new HVAC systems
Follows all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work
Completes sold services using protective measures to keep customer’s home clean and undamaged
Answers any questions that our customers may have about their HVAC systems and components while striving for customer satisfaction
Other Duties:

Proficient in HVAC systems
Ability to use a wide variety of tools and techniques
Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas related to policies and procedures and provide guidance to management and employees, verbally and in writing
Ability to follow safety standards
Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently
Ability to multi-task
Regular and reliable attendance
Minimum Qualifications:
Journeyman HVAC license
High school diploma or equivalent
Possess a valid driver’s license
Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Any air conditioning certifications
Physical Demands:
Ability to operate tablet, mobile phone and other field equipment as needed
Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work
Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs repeatedly during work hours
Ability to climb up and down ladders and/or step stools repeatedly during work hours
Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time during work hours
Ability to work in small and confined dark spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, etc.
Ability to work in a wide range of temperatures (indoor/outdoor)
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time between job sites and customer locations
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
