About This Position

SUMMARY: The Logistics Technician (Technician) supports the coordination, tracking, and management of aircraft parts, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient maintenance and operational readiness. This role is responsible for inventory control, shipping and receiving, and accurate documentation in compliance with Company and regulatory requirements. The Technician works closely with Maintenance and Supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of critical assets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with ITAR requirements.
  • Maintain tool and part distribution customer service desk IAW Company policies.
  • Implements tool control policies.
  • Verify items received through information identification, inspect the condition of items, and compare count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list including applicable documentation from relevant federal and state authorities.
  • Utilize software, perform cycle counts, and record physical inventory and outbound shipments.
  • Physically and systematically receive all incoming material.
  • Maintain inventory by marking and placing items in stock, establish inventory reorder points, and report items to be reordered.
  • Physically and systematically document inventory by recording additions, disbursements, adjustments, and removals of items.
  • Fill parts requests by issuing/delivering items.
  • Physically and systematically move non-allocated material to stock.
  • Prepare reports/logs by collecting and analyzing information on stock usage, core returns, unused parts, and out of box failures.
  • Prepare parts and cores for shipment daily and log information in required areas.
    • Demonstrate adherence to OSHA and OH&S requirements, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate and properly maintain company tools and equipment.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be proficient in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

  • Proven track record of success working on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge.

  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must demonstrate safe and healthy workplace practices.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to travel within the US.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of a Logistics Technician in daily work performance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • N/A

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Or at least 3 years’ work experience in Logistics.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role is performed around loud noises and hazardous chemicals with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock.

  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and access aircraft via ladders and boarding air stairs.
  • Must be able to access confined aircraft spaces.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as High visibility clothing, ear protection, safety glasses when required.
