Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain commercial refrigeration systems and equipment, including walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in refrigeration equipment, making repairs or replacements as necessary to restore functionality
  • Hand and manage refrigerants according to federal and state regulations, including recovery and disposal when required
  • Respond to services calls promptly, provide excellent customer service and efficiently resolve issues
  • Interact with clients to understand their refrigeration needs and provide recommendations for equipment or maintenance services
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed including work orders, parts used and any pertinent details about the systems serviced
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Stay updated on the lates technologies, tools and industry practices to enhance skills and knowledge in commercial refrigeration

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, as this position may require driving a company van to various job sites
  • Experience in troubleshooting, installation and service of commercial refrigeration
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment common to the trade
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues accurately
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
  • Ability to climb a ladder up to 24’
  • Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs.
