We are hiring a per diem Assessment Clinician Masters Level to join our Intake team. This position is 12 hour shifts covering either 7 am - 7:30 pm or 7 pm - 730 am. In Person only.
Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.

Position information:
The Assessment Clinician performs work at an advanced, specialized, and independent level. Provides intensive casework with individual, family and marital therapy. Skilled in de-escalation and brief solution -focused therapy. Provides group therapy and diagnostic evaluations and interprets complex psychosocial factors to a variety of psychiatric and addition patients. Relates accepted theories of psychiatry/psychology to practice situations. Requires instruction only in highly complex, new or specialized methods or procedures.

Essential Duties:
- Ability to independently conduct psychosocial assessment, develop updates and detailed reassessment of the patient needs
- Assess social history and identify high-social risk issues that may impact disposition planning
- Coordinate with family, support persons and community providers to make a full and complete assessment of patient's functioning, care needs and discharge supports.
- Provide patient and family education, support and advocacy
- Participate as a member of the treatment team in developing interdisciplinary master treatment plan goals for treatment and guide subsequent intervention
- Implement planned interventions aimed at meeting specified goals in the treatment plan and offered through a variety of modalities (group, individual, couple, family, etc.)
- Make level of care recommendations and assist care coordinators in developing comprehensive disposition plans to the next level of care
- Provide therapeutic activities that focus upon the development and maintenance of adaptive skills that will improve the patient's functioning.
- Report to work at scheduled time and work the entirety of the scheduled shift.
We offer competitive pay and benefits:
- Hourly – associate pay $37.67- $69.84/independent pay $39.80-$73.78 + 15% per diem rate
- Shift differentials:
- nights: $3.25
- weekends $1.85

- 403B with discretionary match for those that participate in the plan and meet work requirements
- You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
What We Require:
Education:
- Master's in Psychology, Social Work or related field accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education.
Licenses:
- Current Washington state license as: Licensed as Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSAW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHCA) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFTA)
- Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required to start
Experience:
- Two (2) years experience in psychiatric/mental health setting preferred
