Position Summary:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing quality meals and maintaining standards of kitchen cleanliness. The Dietary Aide is responsible for performing cleaning duties in the kitchen, dining room, dishwashing area, and kitchen equipment. Assists with setting up trays, and serving meals and beverages to residents. Assists with food preparation and assists the Cooks as needed. The Dietary Aide also assists in unloading food carts, and in the general cleaning of the dining room.

Assists with setting up trays, and serving meals and beverages to residents. Assists with food preparation and assists the Cooks as needed. The Dietary Aide also assists in unloading food carts, and in the general cleaning of the dining room.
Schedule:
- 6am - 2:30pm Schedule
- Part Time, working 32 hours per pay period (2 weeks).
- Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and holiday required.
Job Duties:
- Assists with dining room set up and clean up with each meal.
- Assists with setting up trays, and serving meals and beverages as needed including the delivery of carts.
- Assists with meal preparation as needed, makes juices for meals and prepares for snack time.
- Vacuum and cleans the dining room.
- Follows departmental procedures including sanitation, safety and cleaning schedules, dress code and policies and procedures in general.
- Properly washes and stores all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Properly disposes of refuse.
- Mops kitchen floor and beverage area floor.
- Evening shift follows procedures for closing down and locking up for the night.
- Assist in providing a dignified, respectful, resident-centered environment for residents.
- Follows universal precautions, facility infection control guidelines, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Must have excellent verbal and written (read and write) communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, with the ability to organize and prioritize.
- Maintains good attendance and punctuality.
