About This Position
Campers Inn RV is looking for a Body Shop Technician. This role is responsible for performing RV Body repairs and service as assigned in accordance with manufacturer and insurance standards.

Essential Job Functions

- This is a safety sensitive position
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders
- Examine damaged vehicles to estimate repair procedures
- Complete work in accordance with applicable safety requirements
- Conduct parts inventory for collision repairs to ensure accuracy
- Monitor the progress of vehicle repairs to determine the schedule for final assembly
- Complete proper documentation and record keeping on repair orders
- Perform proper tool and equipment usage and maintenance
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- License & Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record is required
- Respirator and ventilation certification, or willingness to obtain certification is required
- Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an RV body shop technician is preferred
- Abilities:
- Knowledge of OSHA and other related state and federal regulations as they pertain to vehicle repairs, safety, and disposal of vehicle parts and fluids
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to use and wear protective clothing and equipment as needed or required as per OSHA regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization, and communicate with customers and external vendors
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
- Ability to work flexible hours, as required is essential. Hours may include, evenings, and weekends
- Working knowledge of body shop equipment and tools
- Must be able to mix and match paint, repair fiberglass and apply gel coat paints
- Ability to perform prep, paint, and finish work on fiberglass, steel/metal, and aluminum surfaces
- Must be able to use respirator while performing tasks that require it
- Ability to comfortably work in cramped conditions, such as under RVs and in RV compartments
- Ability to safely handle petroleum products and solvents as well as other chemicals
- Ability to withstand being around hot temperatures from engines and coolant systems
- Ability to withstand vibration from powered hand tools
- Ability to navigate other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and RVs
- Ability to move RVs of various sizes as needed
- Ability to organize various physical tasks through adjusting, climbing ladders, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
